"The Vessel Program represents the practical application of everything Garrett built. He wanted to preserve. I wanted to use. There is no contradiction there — preservation without utility is just a museum. These subjects are not victims. They are infrastructure.

The 94% figure concerns some in this building. It should not. The 6% are the proof of concept. The 94% are the cost of learning. By 1994 we had refined the process to a degree Garrett never imagined. The Wonder Harvest will make the Vessel Program look like a prototype.

Dr. Crane did not understand this. That is why he is no longer here."
